I am delighted to be a part of newly incorporated K Marine Ship Management Pte. Ltd (KMSM) in  Singapore as a member of directors. “K” Line Group has long histories in Singapore Maritime Community along with Singapore history not only since 1973 when Kawasaki Singapore Pte Ltd was established as the first group company but also over many years working together with Singapore & many stake holders.

KMSM is another milestone to enhance corporate value both in highest quality & safety and talent development with any innovative technologies supporting global energy supply chain, which is another critical role of this newly formed arm in “K” Line group. As we are committed to achieve tireless changing for developing next generations & fair employment in Maritime Community, KMSM does welcome and appreciate any feedback from any stake holder. We are also enthusiastically striving to provide all possible opportunities in training & talent development particular in Singapore. I do hope my contributions and experience in closer to two decades in Singapore assure our challenging.

Additionally, as the group has already announced “K” LINE Environmental Vision 2050 “Blue Seas For the Future”, toward the movement to achieve virtually zero GHG emissions in 2050, together with all stake holders KMSM does our best to be focusing on sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility by all means as well as strict compliance.

The maritime industry, which enables the  movement of approximately 90% of the world’s traded goods, is changing at a dizzying pace and facing myriad new challenges. To address this evolving maritime business environment, K MARINE SHIP MANAGEMENT PTE.LTD. (“ KMSM ”), was established in Singapore in 2022.

KMSM is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“ “K” Line ”), a company which was founded in 1919 and has been safely transporting cargoes in the high seas for over a century. KMSM is an in-house ship management company of the “K” Line Group.

KMSM started as part of “K” Line’s pro-active response to the recent developments in the maritime business environment and trading patterns. The decision to establish global bases and to be at the forefront at supporting our “K” Line Group’s activities in our Asia business divisions and to focus on accelerating our efforts to decarbonize and promote Digital Transformation (DX), were the catalysts to our establishment here.

We, at KMSM, desire to deliver the unique vision of providing effective and sustainable solutions to the numerous challenges faced by maritime industry arising from the changing world trade, environmental commitments and service demands, while concurrently, offering the highest quality of ship management and excellent customer service and satisfaction.

We are also dedicated to the professional safety management of fleet of vessels, development of local talents and engaging in new maritime business ventures. We will conduct our business with the utmost integrity and professionalism and uphold our promises and responsibilities.
